BEHIND THE SCENES AT MOTEL ROCKS

Working at Motel has been amazing so far, I've got to write blog posts (such as this one), take street style snaps both on the streets of Bristol and at LFW, plus I get to write product descriptions and the like for the website. It's great fun, and something I could see myself doing in the coming years, plus I've got to give you lovely readers special discount online. Perfect!
So I thought I would show you some behind the scenes photos from a shoot we did not too long ago, I'm sure you'll it on the website soon!

Just a quick post today, I'm sleepy.
Good night all,

#BBMEET AND GLAM GLOW YOUTH MUD

Oh hello there! Yesterday was a great day. I was invited by the lovely Alessia and Sasha to come along to a Bristol/South West blogger meet up, something I have never done before so I jumped at the chance. There was at least 30 bloggers there so it was really nice to mingle and meet everyone, plus there was shopping. Bonus.
You may have seen a few of these posts popping up on your feed at the moment, so do forgive me if you've seen this all before, but Oh-Em-Gee the goody bag was insane.
What's inside you ask? Here's a peak...

The holy grail.... Benefit Fine One One! FULL SIZE!
As you can see we were completely and utterly spoiled. Thank you so much girls for organising such a great day, and bagging all these incredible goodies.

Also, I went for a Valentine themed background this time, it's still Feb. It counts. Plus it's pretty. :)

One of the products in the bag was this face mask from Glam Glow. The 'Hollywood' face lifting mud mask.

TEAOXI™ GREEN TEA LEAF

Groundbreaking patent pending TEAOXI™ is GLAMGLOW’s proprietary continuous time-release technology, delivering daily fresh Super-Squalene, EGCG Super-Antioxidants & Polyphenols direct into the mud from the real pieces of tea leaf contained in our mask. TEAOXI™ is the ‘magic’ behind our powerful anti-aging and anti wrinkle results.

I was intrigued so I thought I'd try it out after my mega-long bath. It has quite a scratchy consistency, and looks just like mud (shocker!). I found that it was quite abrasive and really stingy on my face. I tend to get quite sensitive skin, but this one really did hurt! Ow. Saying that, the stinging did start to ease off after about 6 minutes, so I buffed it off with warm water and padded dry with a towel. I did feel a tightening effect, but not to the extreme I expected, but I have to admit my skin did feel nice after, although it was quite red, which is never the look you want. The redness faded after a while, and my skin still feels quite soft and firm, yet I'm not sure it's as 'WOW' as they proclaim. Maybe that's just me, it could be the best thing you ever try. Let me know if it is! In all, I probably wouldn't buy this again, purely because it retails at around £22.50 for just 15ml! I like it, but not that much. I am still a poor student after all!

Hot stuff right? HA.
It's a good product, just quite stingy on my skin particularly and rather pricey. I feel like I need to whack a load of moisturiser on now though, but I would have put some on anyway so I guess that's a given. I'd have to try it again before makeup to get the true effects I guess, rather than just before bed, but I shall see how I look in the morning. If I wake up looking like Megan Fox I'll be happy!

I hope you're having a nice day? Enjoyed your weekend? Have any of you ever tried this mask before?

FASHION INFLUENCE

My current project is 'professional practice' so it's all about compiling my work and presenting it in a professional manner. I've found the initial research stages really inspiring, so I thought I'd show you some graduate work that has got my creative cogs turning. These images have been found on LSADfashion.blogspot.com, so if your work is here and you'd like me to remove it, feel free to leave me a comment and I will. Although all of this work is gorgeous, so be proud if it's yours! I would be.

LONDON FASHION WEEK AW13

Here are some more images from the incredible LFW... Very photo heavy I'm afraid!

Rocking the monochrome stripe in knitwear.

This lovely lady has definitely read my sunnies post! She's gone for the retro cat eye and is wearing it like a pro.

Neon is coming in full force this Spring. If you're not quite as daring (like me) then you could always opt for an accessory or accent piece like this fashionista above. I love the neon jumper, but mixing it with a pink jacket and pale blue jeans tones it down just enough that it doesn't knock you out like a slap across the face with a neon fish. No one wants that. This look also ties in the colour block trend that's creeping its way back this Spring. Kudos.

Colour block brogues. Boom. They're so cool I'll let you off for having your laces untied.

Simple, elegant and stylish. This look is wearable across any age and body type. Mix block blacks and whites for a classic look. The minimal pointed toe court shoe just sets it off perfectly. I practically live in black clothes so this works for me! Plus black is slimming. Win.

This model knew exactly what she was doing. Work it girl!

Ah Victoria from MIC you babe. Chilling with this insanely cool designer. I managed to get a snap of her working the Motel tote bag too. Double win.

Print clash. Love it.

Spotted - the lovely LLMLRS with those oh-so-statement sunnies.

Erm... sure! He sure knows how to work his style. Fair play dude.

In. Love. With. These. Glasses.
Need.

I bumped into the FLAWLESS Shirley from Meek~N~Mild wearing monochrome with a bold red lip. If you haven't seen any of her videos yet, I highly recommend.

This was actually a person. Seriously.

I fell in love with these two. They just go to show, fashion never gets old.

This was walking around on its own. I know. WTF.

Ah! Favorite blogger alert. I had to try and keep my cool. Sammi from Beauty Crush, Shirley from Meek~N~Mild and Kavita from She Wears Fashion. My ultimate faves and they were all so so nice. If you see this girls, it was a pleasure to meet you!

Satchel from the Cambridge Satchel Company. Neon. Boom.

Perspex and monochrome stripe clutch from H&M.

Jacket from Zara.

Gorgeous twinnies! Leather (pleather?) quilted skirt from Topshop.

So cute! The lovely Rebecca Tan in Vintage.

This lovely lady is from Superstar Magazine. Looking so adorable in Monochrome.

This yellow bag is from Zara (and was only £30?!?!), and I adore the black strap heels, don't you?!

I hope you managed to get to the end! I did warn you it would be very photo heavy. So well done if you're still here, props to you!
