FREEDOM

It's so strange thinking that uni is now over, forever. I'm free, yet I had such mixed emotions come 2pm yesterday. I half wanted to jump for joy, come home and ceremoniasly burn everything uni related, and half wanted to cry. It's actually all over, there is nothing I can do now to determine what grade I get, and it's time to be an adult. It's so exciting and so scary at the same time. Did anyone else feel like that when they finished?
So... Blog changes. I feel like this blog has taken a lot of twists and turns, especially with layouts and design etc, so apologies if you start getting frustrated, but I promise, very soon I'll be happy with it!
I'm back at Motel tomorrow, so might try and get an outfit post done there against the famous inspiration wall...
I also shopped today. Oops. I felt it was well deserved though after the stress of finishing my degree, so I have lots of new lovely things to share with you over the next few days.
Hooray!

NAUGHTY BLOGGER

Okay, I know, I've been bad. I haven't picked up the laptop and clicked 'new post' in way too long, and I'm sorry. However... MY PORTFOLIO IS FINALLY DONE! The relief is insane. As of Monday at 2pm (GMT) I am no longer a student, and have a ridiculous mix of feelings about the approaching end. I'm looking forward to handing in my work, I'm really pleased with it this time around so don't feel to anxious about that, (she says until 1.30pm rolls around and she starts shaking) it's more what comes after that I'm nervous for. I literally with have nothing to do. Job hunt starts now!
I do have a slight plan though... and LOADS of plans for this blog - [watch this space] including a new name, complete design overhaul etc etc... basically I'm getting serious. I hope you like it, but do bear with, it will take a little while to get going.
I've been applying for fashion magazine internships left right and centre, so hopefully I might bag one of those and then work my way in to the industry.
What has everyone been up to? Is anyone else nearing the end of uni and freaking out like me?!
Love xx

PARTY ALL DAY

Steel Panther tee (boyfriend's)
Topshop jeans
Zara shoes
Random outfit today, we're going out to the Bierkeller tonight (metal club) for the boy's 21st, so I thought I'd pop on something slightly more appropriate - saying that, anyone who knows who Steel Panther are, they're far from appropriate in any sense of the word.

I've had these amazing Zara shoes for a while now, it's almost a sin that I haven't posted about them yet! Embellished brogues, a thing of beauty.

Happy Friday! x

SAY MY NAME

I couldn't do a 90s grunge themed shoot without choosing an epic 90s song lyric as the title. Ah Destiny's Child you babes.
This is a shoot I did on Tuesday for my ever approaching 'Professional Practice' deadline at uni, what do you think?

Pretty much all of the clothing is from Motel Rocks and their capsule 2 collection - MASSIVE thank you guys for lending me all of your pretty clothes. I styled the shoot based on the 90s trend that has been sweeping the high street this season, with crop tops, statement shades à la Lennon, high tops and PU leather. Keeping the dark, grungey theme in mind, my model - the lovely Bianca - was perfect. She just oozes cool, wouldn't you agree?
I wanted to showcase the elements of the trend that I'm really loving, and Motel have got such a great range of acid wash denim and vintage inspired tees such as this gorgeous 'Shiva' print number. Most of these haven't hit the website yet, so consider this an exclusive preview!

Makeup wise, I wanted to hone in on the grunge look so decided on a dark eye as well as a dark lip - something I wouldn't ever do in real life, I'm a 'one or the other' type girl - but in this case I think it works. I worked with the lovely Georgia who seems to understand my waffling and ideas perfectly.

Massive thank yous too:

Model - Bianca Edwards
Clothing from - Motel Rocks and (mine and) Bianca's wardrobe
Location - Oceana Bristol
Photography/styling/editing - Myself. (Using any images without permission is prohibited, just ask.)

Please do let me know what you think in the comments! Have a good week xx (or rest of...)

OUTFIT IDEAS #1 EASTER

All Topshop.
There's something about Easter that just makes me think of yellow. (Probably the most obvious statement ever but hey). All of the daffodils and chick themed things are just too cute. I wish the weather would reflect the Spring freshness of Easter, but never mind, we had some sun today! I love the pastel trend, and Topshop have got some gorgeous pieces in (as always), so here's a 'this is what I would have liked to have worn on Easter Sunday if I'd had endless funds' look. I love a simple cami with a statement necklace, this spike shard collar is just beautiful, and a chunky knit is something I'll always love.
Keeping the colours light and fresh, the MOTO Bleach Leigh skinnies and Lacie hi-vamp platforms keep this outfit simple yet sleek, I love the turn up on the hem of the jeans and I'm a sucker for a platform.
I saw this bunny ear alice band and fell in love. Imagine this with messy tousled hair? Beautiful.
Finished off with 'Heart of Gold' polish for a touch of shimmer.
What do you think?
